Roosevelt Senior Project
Dear Student,
The Senior Project at Roosevelt High School is designed to sum up the knowledge and skills developed by you through your high school years. This year Senior Projects will look a little different than it has in the past. You will submit your typed proposal to your US History teacher on May 28th. Use the Senior Project Proposal Word document below to type in your response. Print out the completed document and gather the appropriate signatures. Your proposal will be looked at by staff members on June 3rd and handed back to you by June 12th.
In the fall, you will submit your Progress/Time Log, Mentor Selection/Information Sheet, Certificate of Readiness, and Annotated Bibliography to your US Government teachers. The deadlines are posted below. Amy Schwentor is the new Senior Project Advisor and can assist you as you work on your project. All the paperwork you need to complete your Senior Project is available below and you can type directly into the documents.
Employers and universities indicate that workers and students need to be able to bring complex ideas together in order to be successful. Your Senior Project will help you practice this trait as you coordinate and implement many activities in a field of study of your choice. The format outlined in the Senior Project Packet will help you organize your work and to package it in a way that represents your creativity and diligence.
The Senior Project is designed to give you ownership over your own work. By completing this project you will demonstrate the ability to utilize many valuable and useful life skills such as responsibility, determination, organization, time management and communication.
Good luck in your endeavor. We all look forward to working with you on this exciting project.
Senior Project Committee,
Amy Schwentor, Senior Project Advisor
