HOST AN EXCHANGE STUDENT

World Learning and the World Affairs Council in Seattle are partnering to recruit host families for 10 Brazilian teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18 from January 11— 23, 2012. The students, who speak English fluently, have been selected by the U.S. Embassy in Brazil from a pool of thousands to become ambassadors for their country. Host families must have a teenage child in the household who attends Roosevelt High School. Get a host family application from Mrs. Magidman in room 239.

Ergon, in partnership with NorthWest Student Exchange, is seeking families to host a 16-17-year-old Italian exchange student for a semester or year. Italian families are in turn happy to host your child during summer vacations. Ergon specializes in rigorous selection criteria insuring that students are responsible, motivated, proficient in English and carefully matches students with host families. For further information, please email Gunnel Tanimoto, Seattle coordinator at italexchange@gmail.com .
