Committee Descriptions

Annual Fund Committee

RHS school-wide fundraiser to raise funds to support teaching positions. This is the primary school wide academic-related fundraiser that affects all students at RHS.

Timing: November through March

Volunteer Needs: Two co-chairs

Class Parent Reps Committee

Each class has a group of parent representatives who volunteer for four years to help with fundraising activities for their class. These groups are typically formed at the beginning of the freshman year. See the Class Fundraising page for details.

Timing: Throughout each year

Volunteer Needs: Four to five parents per class.

First Day Packets Committee

Help assemble the first day packets information on Rough Rider Day. Normally takes place in the Library.

Timing: Rough Rider Day - Day before the official first day of school.

Volunteer Needs: Unlimited number of volunteers needed.

Rough Rider Day Committee

Help new and returning students find their way around the day before the first official day of school. Help with schedules, lockers, metro passes, ASB/Yearbook, pictures (for ASB cards), signage around school, etc.

Timing: Rough Rider Day - Day before the official first day of school.

Volunteer Needs: 40

School Tours Committee

School tours are scheduled to provide time for 8th graders and those looking to transfer to RHS with a tour by ASR students. Day tours are scheduled in the morning. There is one evening tour scheduled (no parent volunteers are needed).

Timing: Late January through February

Volunteer Needs: Four to five parents to help conduct tours.

Staff Appreciation Committee

Contribute food and beverages for four staff events during the school year. Help set up and clean up after event.

Timing: Four times per year. First is normally the week before school starts. The last is just after school ends.
