COUNSELING & CAREER CENTER NEWS
Drop/Add for Second Semester 2/4-2/8. Students have been able to work on second semester schedules since early fall. Accordingly, the drop/add period for second semester only goes through Friday 2/8. On Monday 2/4 periods 1 and 2, counselors are ONLY working with new students who have no schedule and students who have incomplete schedules. As of third period on 2/4, and through Friday 2/8, students can make appointments to see if schedule changes are possible. Beginning Monday 2/11, per district guidelines, schedules will only be changed in extenuating circumstances, with administrator approval, if the change does not cause any holes in students’ schedules, and students will receive a “W” withdrawal for the class that they are dropping. (After the fifth week of the semester, the rules for schedule changes remain the same except students will receive an E grade in any class they are dropping). Note: counselors’ appointment books for 2/4-2/8 will be available at the end of the school day on Thursday 1/31.
