ANNOUNCEMENTS
PTSA Volunteer Coordinator needed for next year. After 2+ years it’s time for me to pass the baton to a new Volunteer Coordinator. As Coordinator you'll help support Roosevelt programs, by supplying event leads with volunteer lists from our online Volunteer Database. Minimal knowledge of Excel, good organizational skills, and the ability to send/answer email inquiries is all that's needed for this position. Most work can be done from your home computer on a flexible timeframe that suits your schedule. (Find more details on PTSA website at http://www.rhsseattle.org/ptsaVolunteer.php) I will provide a short training and file of reference samples. It would be great to identify a new Volunteer Coordinator before Sept. for a smooth transition. Like to volunteer and want to find out more? Please contact Pat Johnson at patdjohnson@comcast.net or 206-850-5509 cell.
Help shape future RHS PTSA Communications. The PTSA is making plans to transition from our current PTSA email & website platform and we need a few people with ideas and expertise to help us make the transition. Time commitment: a couple of meetings with RHS Admin and PTSA leaders before the end of the school year plus some time executing transition over the summer. If you have input or can volunteer, please contact PTSA E-news editor Christie Rodgers at rhs.ptsa.comm@gmail.com.
RHS Special Education Parents/Guardians - Come join us for our last of the school year Parent Meeting. Thursday, June 6, 7-9pm in the RHS Library. We've had some great conversations and sharing of ideas. All are welcome. Hope you can join us! (Heads up, I've been warned that parking may be a challenge.) If you have questions about the meeting, contact Peggy Peterson, pegpete56@yahoo.com.

RHS Boys Soccer Team advances to State Semi-Finals! They play this Friday night at 8pm at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup. We know it's a four day weekend and you may have other plans- but we need to Rider Up and show our boys some love by cheering them on this Friday. There will be a Rooter Bus to Puyallup if enough students sign up! Head to the ASR room to sign up for the Rooter Bus. Cost is $2 and game price is $7 with ASB card. Read about last week's game in the Roosevelt News.

Neighborhood Parade & BBQ Saturday, June 1 is the annual RHS Band Neighborhood Picnic and Parade starting @ 2pm (band photo @ 1:30 on the field steps). This unique event starts from the RHS parking lot, makes it way down to Roosevelt Square for a quick concert on the upper level and then marches madly through nearby streets 70th & 69th. It culminates in a great BBQ & picnic outside the commons back at school. Join the parade or, if you’re on the route, step out and cheer the band on.
