SECOND SEMESTER EVENING SCHOOL REGISTRATION OPENS 12/8/08

Registration for second semester evening school opens 12/8/08 and continues through 1/30/09. Classes are filled first come, first serve, with seniors having priority until 1/5/09. Evening school is for credit retrieval only, in core academic classes students have previously failed. Classes are at Lincoln, beginning 2/9/09, cost $50/class, and students may sign up for two classes maximum. See your counselor to fill out a registration form and get a copy of your academic history (applications not accepted without academic history attached). wkrakauer

RHS Scholarship Applications

The Applications for the 2008-09 RHS Scholarships will be available, Wednesday, November 26th in the Scholarship File in the Career Center, Room 108. RHS Scholarships are a constellation of scholarships, which are given to RHS students by various donors. Completed applications are due back January 6, 2:30 pm. Any graduating Senior may apply. UW Academy-will be conducting an information session in the Career Center on Monday, Dec. 15th at 10am. UW Academy is an early entrance program to the University of Washington for high school sophomores. Support services are available. You must sign up in the Career Center in advance to attend.

University of Montana-will be hosting receptions for perspective students and their families on Sat., Dec. 13th at 2:00 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Sun., Dec. 14th at 1:00 at the Bellevue Downtown Courtyard by Marriott.

Street Team: Job Readiness Program-applications now available in the Career Center. The Street Team is a 4 month job readiness and leadership development program. Stipends are available upon completion. See Career Center for details.

The results of the Door Decorating Contest are in … drum roll please … The winning classes are: Mr. Landreville’s class, Chris Holland’s class, and V.K.’s drama class. ROOSEVELT OLYMPIAD For all of you who dislike the cold and rain of winter, or for those who do, you still have something to look forward to: the ROOSEVELT OLYMPIAD. Each day there will be a competition at lunch and the points will carry over to the final during the winter sports assembly on Friday.
