RHS PTSA Email & Directory Online Opt In Form
(New for 2008-2009)
Do you want to:
- stay in touch with what's happening at RHS via email several times a week?
- get important information about what is going on with your student's class?
- receive the Rider Record newsletter via email to help save paper and reduce costs?
- be included in the RHS Directory?
It's simple. Just opt in below for each of your RHS students to:
- receive weekly PTSA Parent Email bulletins (similar to the Student Daily Bulletin), important information about what's happening in your student's graduating class, other school information, and a link to the Rider Record via email. Your contact information will not be published or distributed.
- include your name and your student's contact information in the RHS Class Directory. Your contact information will be published and distributed only to others who also opt-in to receive the Directory. Directory information is distributed at least twice per year.
Email Opt In FAQs
I opted-in last year--Do I have to do it again? This is a brand new process and we're asking for your cooperation to opt in again so that our database for both the Email List and Directory will be in sync and up to date as we start this new process. Thank you!
Why do I need to opt in for each of my students at RHS? Some emails will be distributed by graduation class so we need a record for each of your RHS students with their graduating class. Once you opt in, you will not need to opt in for that student again. When your student graduates, we'll remove the records associated with that student in the summer after graduation. If you have other students at RHS, you will still be on the email list if you have opted in for them. You will only get one email if you use the same email address each time you opt in.
Once I opt in, how do I make changes? Once you opt-in, if you have changes to your information, please complete the entire form again to create an updated record in the database. Indicate that this is a change by clicking the Change My Information box.
RHS Directory Opt In FAQs
What are Class Directories? Class directories are created for Roosevelt High School students whose families give approval and who choose to be included. In order to be included in the RHS Directory, you must first opt in to receive other communications via email including the PTSA Parent Emails, class updates, and the Rider Record by completing the forms above. Parent/guardian approval is required to include student information in the Directory.
What is the RHS Directory for? The primary purpose of the RHS Directory is to provide contact numbers for parents/guardians to assist them in contacting each other, and for students to improve class-related communications. This information is intended to be used only by parents/guardians, students, and staff, including PTSA and school administration. It is NOT to be distributed to others. This directory will be made available via email at least twice per year to families listed in it.
What information is included in the RHS Directory? The Directory includes student, parent and guardian names, email addresses and phone numbers. This information is optional. You can provide parent information without entering any student contact information.
I was already in the 2007-2008 Directory--Do I have to opt-in again? This is a brand new process and we're asking for your cooperation to opt in again so that our database for both the Email Lists and Directory will be in sync and up to date as we start this new process. Thank you!
How do I get removed from this year's Directory? Once you have opt-ed in this year for the Directory, but want to be removed from it, please contact the Directory Coordinator, Celeste Cranston at celestecranston@qwest.net.
All copies of the Directory will be emailed to each parent listed. Directories will not be emailed to students. Look for the initial directory to be emailed in the fall and then an updated directory later in the year.
