Roosevelt Senior Project
Dear Student,
The Senior Project at Roosevelt High School is designed to sum up the knowledge and skills developed by you through your high school years. Work may begin in May of your Junior year when you will be challenged to begin designing a learning project on a topic you value and to demonstrate your ability to present and problem solve. By the end of your Senior year, you will have independently completed a Senior Project that reflects your interests and your educational experiences here at Roosevelt High School.
Employers and universities indicate that workers and students need to be able to bring complex ideas together in order to be successful. Your Senior Project will help you practice this trait as you coordinate and implement many activities in a field of study of your choice. The format outlined in the Senior Project Packet will help you organize your work and to package it in a way that represents your creativity and diligence.
The Senior Project is designed to give you ownership over your own work. By completing this project you will demonstrate the ability to utilize many valuable and useful life skills such as responsibility, determination, organization, time management and communication.
Good luck in your endeavor. We all look forward to working with you on this exciting project.
Senior Project Committee,
Melissa Boswell, Senior Project Coordinator
